Dennis E. DiSantis, MD FACG
Board Certified, Gastroenterology
Dr. DiSantis received his undergraduate degree from Gannon University and his medical degree from Loyola University. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his gastroenterology fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic. He joined DGA after serving in the U.S. Army and receiving the Army Commendation Medal. Dr. DiSantis was formally an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology at Emory University. He is a Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. DiSantis is named in “America’s Top Physicians” in Gastroenterology and also in "Atlanta's SuperDoctors".
Mark A. Stern, MD
Board Certified, Gastroenterology
Born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Stern completed his undergraduate degree at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his residency and served an additional year as Chief Resident of Medicine at Emory University. Dr. Stern completed his GI and Advanced Therapeutics Fellowship at the University of Michigan. He is trained in advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP. He is Director of DeKalb Endoscopy Center and Director of Clinical Research at Atlanta Academic Research Group. Dr. Stern was named an Atlanta Magazine "Top Doc" for the past five years. He is interested in colon cancer screening, biliary disorders, and is the director of Heartburn Solutions Center at Dekalb Medical Center.
Anthony Balistreri, MD
Board Certified, Gastroenterology
Dr. Balistreri completed his undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University and went on to the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine for medical school. He completed his residency and GI fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Balistreri has a special interest in the treatment and management of liver disease, including hepatitis, fatty liver, abnormal liver enzymes and cirrhosis. Dr. Balistreri oversees the hepatitis research.
Eric D. High, MD
Board Certified, Gastroenterology
Dr. High completed his undergraduate studies at Central State University in Wilberforce Ohio. He attended medical school at Wright State University and completed his medical residency and GI Fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. After completing his service in the US . Navy, Dr. High joined DGA. Dr. High is an expert in capsule endoscopy, with an interest in colon cancer screening and hemorrhoid banding.
Andrew J. Simpson, MD
Board Certified, Gastroenterology
Dr. Simpson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and went on to the Medical College of Virginia for medical school. He completed his residency and GI fellowship at Emory University. Dr. Simpson then stayed on as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology with Emory University while on staff at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. He is trained in advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP and is an expert in capsule endoscopy.
Temitope Foster, M.D.
Board Certified, Gastroenterology
Dr. Foster completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine and remained there for residency. Dr. Foster completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where additionally as a fellow in the Specialty Training and Advanced Research (STAR) program she received a Master's degree in clinical research. Prior to joining DGA, Dr. Foster was an assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University where she served as the Director of Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center Memorial Hospital.
