Atlanta Academic Research Group, a division of DeKalb Gastroenterology Associates, is involved in the performance of phase II, III and IV clinical drug trials.  These trials test the safety and effectiveness of new and current drugs for the treatment of a wide range of digestive diseases and liver disorders.  For the past fifteen years, we have participated in trials for reflux, peptic ulcer, irritable bowel, Crohn’s disease, colon cancer screening, hepatitis B and C and ulcerative colitis.

Our research facility located at our office in Decatur is computerized to insure the accuracy of data collection and to maintain a patient database for future clinical trials.  All studies are FDA approved and monitored by the regulatory divisions of the pharmaceutical industry.

Our Center is comprised of board certified gastroenterologists and has a full-time staff of trained and certified clinical research coordinators.  The entire group participates in continuing education programs in order to maintain our high standards and follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.  To hear a list of our current clinical trials, please call our clinical RN at 404-508-7684.
