Dennis E. DiSantis, MD FACG

Board Certified, Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

Dr. DiSantis received his medical degree from Loyola University and completed his residency and GI fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic. He joined DGA in 1976 after serving as a Major in the US Army and receiving the Army Commendation Medal. He was formally an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology at Emory University. Dr. DiSantis is a Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. DiSantis has served the DeKalb County area for over 30 years and was named in “America’s Top Physicians” in Gastroenterology.

 

 

Mark A. Stern, MD

Board Certified, Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

Born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Stern completed his undergraduate degree at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.   He completed his residency and served an additional year as Chief Resident of Medicine at Emory University.   Dr. Stern completed his GI and Advanced Therapeutics Fellowship at the University of Michigan.   He is trained in advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP.  He is Director of DeKalb Endoscopy Center and Director of Clinical Research at Atlanta Academic Research Group. Dr. Stern was named in "America's Top Physicians" in Gastroenterology.  

 

 

Anthony Balistreri, MD

Board Certified, Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

Dr. Balistreri completed his undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University and went on to the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine for medical school. He completed his residency and GI fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Balistreri has a special interest in the treatment and management of liver disease, including hepatitis, fatty liver, abnormal liver enzymes and cirrhosis.  Dr. Balistreri oversees the hepatitis research.

 

 

Albert  T. H. Chan, MD

Board Certified, Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

Dr. Chan received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Hawaii.  He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University Of Nebraska Medical Center.  He was trained in Gastroenterology as a Clinical Fellow and NIH Research Fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.  Dr. Chan joined DGA after serving the Lakeland community in Florida for 20 years.  He was voted one of the “Top Doctors” in his field. He is trained in advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP. 

 

 

Eric D. High, MD

Board Certified, Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

Dr. High completed his undergraduate studies at Central State University in Wilberforce Ohio.  He attended medical school at Wright State University and completed his medical residency and GI Fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. After completing his service in the US Navy, Dr. High joined DGA.  Dr. High is an expert in capsule endoscopy. 

   

Marre Henry, PA
Board Certified Physician’s Assistant

Marre Henry completed her undergraduate studies at Florida Southern College in Lakeland Florida.  She received her Masters of Science degree at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. 

   

Kimberly Pegues, RNP
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Kimberly Pegues completed her Masters of Science Degree at Georgia State University in May 2001.  Kimberly has 5 years experience in Gastroenterology as a Nurse Practitioner.  Prior to earning her Masters Degree, Kimberly worked at a Registered Nurse for 16 years in Emergent Care.

   

Louise Wilson, RNP
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Louise Wilson received her BSN Degree from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  She served as a Lieutenant in the US Army prior to completing her MSN at Georgia State University.
